Google Chrome Project: 100,000 Stars
I came across this Google Chrome experiment over a year ago and still love it. Created as a side project by Google employees, it beautifully lays out 100,000 of our galaxy’s closest stars. You can zoom in and out to navigate, click on specific stars for more information, and gain some perspective on the vastness of just our galaxy alone. This is amazing and a must see if you haven’t checked it out yet! For more information: Chrome Blog.
Note: you’ll need to use Google Chrome to view it.
